Functional Features
- the possibility to create any number of drives with any capacity limited only by the DDP storage capacity
- the DDP graphical user interface is fast and intuitive
- the Gui shows the status of the DDP immediately on all desktops when on one desktop a change has been made
- the use of colors to represent connections, disconnections and connections status makes it easy to operate the DDP
- the possibility to create snapshots brings an extra level of reliability because any part of a drive content at a certain time can be frozen
- the DDP Gui directly communicates with the DDP and does not use a webbrowser
- drives which are no longer needed can be archived in the drivepool
- any number of desktop names can be entered
- a desktop/DDP login option can be activated for additional protection
- each drive can be labelled with additional information
- when one of the hardware elements in the system fails the DDP send out an email to the proper person as an AEN (an alarm/event notification)
- drive statistics and drive temperature are monitored with advance warning following the S.M.A.R.T. protocol

- drives can be moved from pool to the DDP connect window or from the DDP connect window to the pool
