The German "Deutsche Film- und Fernsehakademie" needed a central Serversystem for 170 students and their assistents to work with projects in Postproduction, Sound & Grafical Design, as well as an HD Archive- and Contentmanagementsystem.
More then 30 clients with different systems and softwareproducts were connected. The iSCSI technology of Ardis Technology and their DDP workflow modules made it possible to work with active directories and secure administration of rights for every student. This way they are able to organize their own projects, or work together with other common projects.
The total amount of capacity is around 220 TB. Plus 2x110 TB for the redundantDDPEXR.
