The DDPxEXR has “no single point of failure” and is meant for critical environments such as post production and broadcast as well as system rental companies. Bandwidth can be as high as requested. When capacity is the priority rather than bandwidth a cost effective near line version of the DDPxEXR can be delivered. The near line version uses our MAID technology to minimize power usage.
The DDP16EX is an expandable unit which adds extra capacity and bandwidth to an existing DDP system. The DDP16EX can be added to any existing DDPxxD Series and daisy chain with up to 8 units per one SAS-RAID PCIe expansion card. When the DDP16EX is connected to an existing DDP, the new mounted volume group is instantly available and ready to use without any formatting of drives.
The DDP32EXR consists of two DDP Heads and two DDP16EXR storage arrays.
The DDPxEXR represents a scalable redundant DDP series with an optional number of x drives with x between 16 and 3200. The current capacity can be up to 6.4 TB.
8 Streams of SD 10bit or 40 streams of DV/HDV can be captured. The DDP16EX can be used with EXR Expander and when this is connected to DDP Server Heads, it can be set up as a full redundant solution, with no single point of failure. When the DDP Head is used the multiple DDP16EX can be combined with over 4GB/s bandwidth and has a total capacity of 6.4TB.
Like all the DDP systems it is including 2 years of warranty, free software updates and remote support via a secured shell (the internet connection is mandatory). Extendable warranty is available and spare drive is included.
