Scalable redundant with no single point of failure.
The DDPxEXR has “no single point of failure” and is meant for critical environments such as post production and broadcast as well as system rental companies. Bandwidth can be as high as requested. When capacity is the priority and not so much bandwidth a cost effective near line version of the DDPxEXR can be delivered. The near line version uses our MAID technology to minimize power usage.
The scalable DDP systems can be fully redundant or normal. The scalable DDP consist of two DDP Heads and at least one DDP16EXR.
The scalable normal DDP consists of one DDP Head and at least one DDP16EX.
Each DDP Head has all DDP software installed while the storage is held in the DDP16EX(R) storage array(s).
Up to 48 DDP16EX(R) storage arrays can be connected to a DDP Head and up to 4 GB/s bandwidth. And the DDP Head can be equipped with a variable number of GbE and 10 GbE ports and SAS ports.
DDPxEXR represents a scalable redundant DDP series with an optional number of drives between 16 and 1400. The current capacity can be up to 4.2 PB.
The DDP32EXR consists of two DDP Heads and two DDP16EXR storage arrays.
