Unique file based sharing with the DDP Any application on desktops, whether from Avid, Apple, Digidesign, Adobe, Matrox, Fairlight and others, connected to the DynamicDrivePool can write and read to and from the same DDP drives/volumes at the highest bandwidth possible using Ethernet. One practical example being: ingesting MXF material on FCP and editing on Avid, FCP and others. Of course many other situations would benefit from this feature as well. Project sharing with applications from one manufacturer If applications from one manufacturer, for example Avid, are used the DynamicDrivePool also offers full project sharing. A very easy to manage file locking mechanism assures that project data can never be overwritten accidently. Project sharing with applications from different manufacturers If applications from different manufacturers are used the DynamicDrivePool functions as the basic requirement to ease and speed up the exchange of projects. OMF, AAF or other project exchange formats benefit greatly if copying of media data can be prevented.
