| This setup shows a colloborative workflow between Macs with Final Cut Pro and Color/Gluetools using 2K/Cineon/DPX files. In cases where only compressed or uncompressed SD and HD are used all Macs can be connected to the 1 GbE network. In this setup, however, the Mac on which the 2K/DPX color correction is done is directly connected to the DDP via a 10 GbE link. The other Macs use proxies for which the GbE network is fine. Also the Mac on which the ingest is done is on the GbE network because the film material comes in slowly. Since up to 4 desktops with 10 GbE ports can be direcly connected to the DDP one can decided which ones to use with proxies and which ones to use with the real material. |
